Audi is once again opening up new horizons: the Audi urban concept is a 1+1-seat, ultra-light car for congested urban spaces. The technical study being presented at the 2011 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt does not fit under any of the conventional categories - the Audi urban concept combines elements of a racing car, a fun car and an urban car into one radical new concept. In addition to a Sportback model, Audi is also presenting a Spyder variant.
The Audi urban concept is not based on any previous model - its development is solely oriented on the strict principles of lightweight construction, efficiency and reduction. The result is a concept car with no unnecessary weight, and one that concentrates on the pure essence of sporty motion.
The Audi urban concept has a sleek body. The wheels are free-standing, their surrounding protective plates feature blinking strips of LED lights. The highly concentrated look of the technical study, with its forward-urging lines, is dynamic and emotional - it lends Audi's design language a completely new impetus.
On board there is room for two people, their position slightly staggered and at a sporty, low level. All controls and materials are subject to the dictates of ultra-lightweight construction in order to ensure that the sensory experience they convey is unique and compelling. The driver can adjust the steering wheel and pedals to his own body measurements. Characteristic features of the Spyder include its low, continuous window area and its doors that open diagonally to the top.
The technology in the Audi urban concept reflects the full capabilities of the brand, especially when it comes to ultra-lightweight construction. The cockpit consists of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, which integrates the undercarriage of both seats. The Audi urban concept rolls on wheels with a 21-inch diameter.
Two e-tron electric motors provide the propulsion - providing the ultra-light Audi urban concept with the ability to accelerate powerfully. A lithium-ion battery supplies the energy - ideal for extended city tours.

How to buy Car Insurance?
Many articles, news, information gives shown us how really important having insurance policy. Now, the question is how to buy car insurance?
When it comes time to buy car insurance in Texas, you will need to decide whether to buy car insurance direct from the insurer, or to buy car insurance online. Both methods can have benefits, and what you choose to do will depend largely on what you’re looking for and also how you like to conduct your search. In consideration with you convenient. One unique situation you may find yourself in is the need to buy auto insurance without a car. If you’re in this position, you will definitely want to hunt for bargains, as you shouldn’t be charged as much if you only rent or drive a vehicle occasionally.
Buying Car Insurance Directly - When you buy car insurance directly from the insurer, you usually either visit the office in person or call over the phone. This method to buy car insurance is more personal, and may help you to form a better understanding of how the insurance company deals with its customers. In a way, when you call for a quote, you are testing out the customer service the company offers. If you get bad service during your first call, you’ll know to go elsewhere. What are the drawbacks of purchasing insurance directly? For one thing, it takes a lot more time and work to compare companies in person or on the phone. It is also harder to get a good visual idea of the benefits and drawbacks of each company.
Why Buy Car Insurance Online? - There are two main benefits when you buy car insurance online. Buying Auto insurance online or auto insurance quotes give you easy queries in just a few minute. There are some car insurance companies which are completely online-based; these companies can save you money when you buy car insurance because they save enough on overhead to drop their rates. The other main reason to buy car insurance online is that researching online is fast compared to researching in person and over the phone. The internet gives you access to reviews which you can cross reference, and there are sites which let you compare quotes with no obligation while you search for the cheapest rates and the best coverage. Buy Car Insurance
e companies, but also major insurance companies like Geico or Amica. You can get quotes instantly, and may be approved to buy car insurance within 24 hours. What should you be looking for when you buy car insurance online or offline? You want something cheap, but that can come as much in the form of discounts as base rates. Aim to get a discount for being a good driver with a solid record and for driving conservatively. Insurance companies define this as driving under a certain mileage threshold every year, or not driving your car to work. You can also be rewarded for participating in carpooling when you buy car insurance. You might get a discount for good grades or a high education level, or for keeping your car safe and secure when you’re not driving it. There are no longer discounts for women in Europe, and there have never been in America. Rates for men and women are supposed to be the same. There may be discounts for your age though when you buy car insurance. Make sure that an insurance company has good customer service before you buy car insurance, even if you are applying online. Bad customer service is never worth it, even at a good rate. That good rate could quickly be raised on you, and before you know it, you may be losing money on what previously seemed like a good deal. Paying a little extra for good service can really add up in the long run.

Why Buy car Insurance Without a Car?
You may be wondering why you’d want to buy auto insurance without a car. This would seem like a waste of money, right? The fact is though, if you have a license, even if you’re without a car, you should consider gevting )nsurance, at least if you’re going to be driving cars, and possibly even if you aren’t. The reasons to buy auto insurance without a car if you do drive are fairly obvious. The auto insurance will protect you if you get in an accident. While a “non-owners” policy isn’t as comprehensive as others in most cases, it’s still better than nothing if you should need it. So why would you want to buy car insurance if you don’t drive a motor vehicle at all? If you’re ever planning to drive again, or if you ever think you might drive again for whatever reason, you should be aware that your insurance rates will go up if there’s a gap in your coverage, even though you don’t have a car. While it probably wouldn’t save you money to get “non-owners” insurance during the gap in your driving if the gap is going to be long, doing it during a shorter gap could keep your rates from going up again later. “Non-owners” policies are usually pretty cheap. You can really only make this decision by doing the math yourself and seeing what will be best for you. Look into it for sure before dismissing it outright! When you buy car insurance, whatever situation you’re in, your first step is to do your homework! Learn everything you can about a company and its rates and policies before you commit. Once you’ve informed yourself, you’ll be able to make the best decision.

Why Is Auto Insurance Important?
Why does we need Auto Insurance? Auto insurance protects you from being financially responsible for an accident, but you're required to pay monthly premiums to keep the insurance. By law you must have car insurance if you want to drive on the road and without it you can be fined, lose your license, go to jail and also be sued depending on the seriousness of the accident you caused. Even if you're pulled over without car insurance you can be fined though which means you must have and maintain auto insurance.
There are lots of companies that offer auto insurance and you'll need to research which is the best option for your specific needs. Auto insurance has many different types of policies and coverage so you need to make sure when you buy your car insurance that the policy makes sense for you. One thing you want to make sure of is that the monthly premium will fit into your budget and also that you're getting the right amount of coverage for your vehicle. Don't get to much coverage but also don't get too little coverage, there is a very fine line between the two and you'll need to determine which is suitable for your vehicles.

Typically if you get into a car accident and you're at fault then you need to put the claim through your insurance. This will mean that your insurance company will pay the damages to the vehicles and also any medical expenses that anyone faces, if any. Without car insurance it makes you liable for the damages and medical bills and this is where it gets very serious. You can be sent to jail for injuring someone in an accident without any insurance and you will most definitely be sued by the family. This will often result in you losing everything you own.
Car insurance isn't a joking matter and is one of the most important insurance policies you need. It's also one of the insurance policies that are mandatory to have while driving. Having car insurance is also necessary to have in case somebody hits your vehicle. If someone hits your vehicle and you don't have insurance then they won't be liable for paying any damages to you.
As you can tell having car insurance benefits you in a lot of ways and also gives you a feeling of safeness while out on the road. It's always better to drive focused and not sub-cautiously have to be thinking about the fact you're driving without insurance. Car insurance can be bought for very affordable monthly premiums and offer great coverage, you just need to do a bit research beforehand so that you can find the best deal. There ms highly competitive competition in this industry and there are many companies fighting for your business. Decide on a budget savvy auto insurance policy and I guarantee you'll be saved a lot of hassles and unnecessary fines. You'll also be ensured that you won't be financially accountable for any damages to people or vehicles as your insurance will cover you. By: Brenda Williams

Venturi Fetish
At the Mondial de l'Automobile 2010 in Paris, Venturi is presenting a completely new Venturi Fetish, directly based on developments undertaken for Venturi's World Records program in Bonneville, USA (2009-2012) with the Venturi "JAMAIS CONTENTE", the fastest electric vehicle in the world.
Rear spoiler, black headlight trims, "Bonneville" colours and finishes recalling the decoration of the Venturi "Jamais Contente", the new Venturi Fetish does not, however, content itself with mere cosmetic retouching : a new motor, powerful new electronics, a new under-carriage, new batterie system, new design for the exterior, a new interior... In fact, all of its components have been reviewed to make this technological marvel a vehicle of true excellence.]
With an output of over 300 HP for total weight of 1,225 kilos, 200 km/h, and 0-100 km/h in less than 4 secs, the Venturi Fetish has become a "muscle car", armed and ready for battle : above all, it is more than ever before the world's sportiest and most highly perfected example of an electric car.
Finally, it sees itself as a rarity, built of very high-tech materials : the Fetish is to be assembled by hand and made to order in our workshops in Monaco.
VM300 : A NEW GENERATION OF ELECTRIC MOTORS
With over 300 hp (+220 kW) and torque of 380 Nm, the VM300 is the most advanced electric motor ever designed for a car.
To get the very best out of such a motor, a new 54 kWh battery pack has been developed (LIV-10 Lithium Ion Polymer batteries) whose electronics (Battery Management System) have been entrusted to VENTEC, the leader in the field.
Venturi Fetish offers a real range of up to 340 km. Thanks to its on-board charger, it can recharge using a regular electrical socket or fast charge terminals (see Specs).
A RACING CAR CHASSIS
The Venturi Fetish's architecture is that of a racing car with a motor ideally mounted in a central position to the rear, backed by a carbon monocoque chassis.
The first chassis specifically designed to house a large volume of batteries, the carbon monocoque developed by Venturi provides an exceptional protection cell for its occupants ; it is completed by two deformable cells positioned at the front and rear of the vehicle. This concept guarantees the security of the battery in the event of an accident and provides a level of safety never before achieved in an electric vehicle.
A SPORTS CAR'S PERFORMANCE
Thanks to the 300 hp of its motor combined with a maximised weight of 1,225 kilos, a brand new undercarriage and very large tyres, the Venturi Fetish behaves like a sports car with exemplary road-holding and traction.
Leaping from 0 to 100km/hr in less than 4 seconds, the Venturi Fetish is a true acceleration car.
Furthermore, the Venturi Fetish offers a range of up to 340 km.
A "HANDMADE" VEHICLE
The Venturi Fetish is made by hand and to order in our workshops in Monaco.
The production is limited, but not the program of customization, our Designer Sacha Lakic being at the arrangement of every customer to assist him in his most exclusive desires.
Special attention has been paid to the vehicle's manufacturing quality, and particularly to the interior, with a dashboard featuring high-tech equipment, but also noble materials such as leather or carbon fiber.
COMMERCIALISATION
Benefitting from on-going technological evolution, the Venturi Fetish does not aim to be a mass-produced vehicle.
Made by hand and to order in the Principality of Monaco, it is reserved for an exclusive and avant-garde clientele : its production is limited to 10 cars per year.
The sales price of the Venturi Fetish is 300,000 € + VAT ; its completion time is currently 12 months.
With a 2-year guarantee, the Fetish benefits from assistance enabling our technicians to perform a tele-diagnosis by means of a simple WiFi or GPRS connection.

Bentley Continental GTC
The second generation of the Bentley Continental GTC convertible will debut at 2011 International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) in Frankfurt.
Taking cues from its GT coupe sibling launched in 2010, the new Bentley Continental GTC builds on the highly successful foundation of the previous cabriolet, which premiered in 2006. Bentley's design and engineering teams have improved virtually every aspect of the iconic convertible with an uncompromising focus on quality.
While the first Bentley Continental GTC was elegant and understated, the sharper radii and assertive stance of the new model delivers a more contemporary and muscular presence. Advanced manufacturing techniques produce aluminium front wings without the need for seams or welds creating the look and feel of a coach-built car. Twenty-inch wheels are now standard with three styles of 21-inch wheel, a first for GTC, available as an option, reinforcing the distinctive, sporting stance of the new Bentley.
The four-seater luxury convertible features a new, even more spacious and sumptuous hand-crafted cabin, with soft-touch leather hides, an extensive range of wood veneers, cool-touch metals and deep-pile carpets. There are 17 standard soft-touch leather hide colours with six colour split combinations, complemented by a range of seven veneers, all produced by Bentley's talented craftsmen and women.
The GTC's renowned coupe-like refinement is also enhanced. The tailored, multi-layered fabric hood is complemented by acoustic glass and under-body panels, for optimum noise isolation.
Superb everyday practicality for a luxury convertible was a hallmark of the original GTC and much valued by its customers. The cabin of the new GTC is now even more practical, with additional rear legroom, new storage solutions and innovative features such as touch-screen infotainment, automatic seat-belt presenters and a Bentley-designed Neck Warmer for comfortable roof-down motoring whatever the temperature.
A wider track, front and rear, sharper steering and retuned suspension provides a more exhilarating and class-leading drive. Bentley's advanced all-wheel drive system features a new 40:60 rear torque bias (compared with 50:50 of the original GTC) minimising understeer during hard cornering and allowing the spirited driver to manage the car's line and balance via precise throttle control.
This compelling dynamic package is combined with a more powerful 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine as well as a new QuickShift transmission enabling faster gear changes than ever before. Power output is raised from 560PS to 575PS (567bhp/423kW) and the famed Bentley 'wave of torque' has been increased by a further 50Nm to 700Nm (516lb ft).
"The GTC has always been the most emotional model in the Continental range and a showcase for Bentley design. With its tailored soft top, the GTC is a pure British convertible true to those classic Bentleys of the past. However, the technology, performance and overall design excellence invested in this model means that we are now writing a new chapter for the Bentley convertible driver." - Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive, Bentley Motors.
The Bentley Continental GTC is now available to order and first customer deliveries will begin in late 2011. The price is €170,060 / £149,350 / ¥26,400,000 / US$212,800 MSRP.

Audi A8 Hybrid 2013
The power of a six-cylinder model, the fuel consumption of a four-cylinder version: Audi will be starting series production of the Audi A8 hybrid in 2012. Its gasoline engine - a 2.0 TFSI - and an electric motor develop peak output of 180 kW (245 hp) and 480 Nm (345.03 lb-ft) of torque. Average fuel consumption is below 6.4 liters per 100 km (36.75 US mpg). The sedan can travel at speeds of up to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) on electric power alone, and cover around three kilometers (1.86 miles) with zero local emissions at a constant speed of 60 km/h (37.28 mph).
The Audi flagship model is designed as a highly efficient parallel hybrid. The 2.0 TFSI, which has been modified in some areas, generates an output of 155 kW (211 hp) and 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque, which is available between 1,500 and 4,200 rpm. The combustion engine works together with a disc-shaped electric motor which develops 40 kW (54 hp) and 210 Nm (154.89 lb-ft).
The permanent magnet synchronous motor is mounted in the space usually occupied by the torque converter in front of the modified eight-speed tiptronic. A multi-plate clutch that operates in an oil bath connects or disconnects the electric motor and the TFSI engine. The clutch operates ultra-precisely and gently in all situations. The highly comfortable and fast-shifting hybrid transmission guides the torque to the front wheels; with its wide gear spread it contributes to the efficiency of the Audi A8 hybrid.
The short-term system output of 180 kW (245 hp) and the system torque of 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft) ensure highly agile performance. The Audi A8 hybrid reaches 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 7.7 seconds from a standing start and has a top speed of 235 km/h (146.02 mph). Its fuel consumption in the EU cycle is less than 6.4 liters per 100 km (36.75 US mpg), and CO2 emissions are below 148 grams per km (238.18 g/mile). Please note that all figures are provisional.
The Audi A8 hybrid can drive at up to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) purely on electric power and has a range of up to three kilometers (1.86 miles) at a constant 60 km/h (37.28 mph). This gives the driver the choice of three modes: The EV characteristic map gives priority to the electric drive, while the D mode efficiently controls both the engine and the electric motor. The S mode and the tiptronic gate are designed for a sporty driving style. The hybrid sedan has five operating states: with the TFSI engine alone, with electric drive only or in hybrid mode; recuperation and boosting are also possible. Two displays show the driver all operating modes in detail.
The lithium-ion battery, which weighs 36.7 kilograms (80.91 lb), is located in a crash-proof area in the trunk. It provides 1.3 kWh of nominal energy and up to 40 kW of power. Two different methods are used to air-cool the battery, depending on need: with air blown from the passenger compartment by a fan and via a separate cooling circuit coupled to the automatic air conditioning system. The battery is thus kept within the temperature window required for it to perform to its full potential over a wide range. The electric motor and the compact power electronics which serve as a controller between the electric motor and the battery are water-cooled.
In visual terms, the Audi A8 hybrid is distinguished by subtle details. The ten spokes of its alloy wheels - which have a diameter of 18 inches as standard and 19 inches as an option - are reminiscent of turbine blades. The body features hybrid badges, and Arctic Silver is available as an exclusive paint finish. The metallic paint finish, three-zone automatic air conditioning, LED headlights and the BOSE sound system come standard.
Thanks to the brand's ultra-lightweight construction expertise, the Audi A8 hybrid will be one of the lightest sedans in its category. Its ASF (Audi Space Frame) body is made entirely of aluminum, while the B-pillars are of hot-shaped, ultra-high-strength steel. Weighing just 231 kilograms (509.27 lb), it is roughly 40 percent lighter than a comparable steel construction.

Ferrari 458 Spider
The new Ferrari 458 Spider joins the 458 Italia, widening the range of Ferrari's mid-rear engined V8s and offering the same uncompromising technological solutions, handling and performance in a refined open-top configuration. It is equipped with a Ferrari patented, fully retractable hard top, a world first for a sports car with this lay-out.
The 458 Spider is powered by Ferrari's naturally-aspirated, direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 which was nominated as the 2011 International Engine of the Year for its engineering excellence in terms of driveability, performance, economy and refinement. The power is transferred to the road by Ferrari's class-leading dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission through the sophisticated E-Diff, itself integrated with the F1-Trac traction control and high-performance ABS for maximum handling dynamics.
Certain features, such as its accelerator pedal mapping and the damping of the multilink suspension, have been calibrated to guarantee maximum sportiness and absolute driving pleasure with the top down, in line with Maranello's exclusive spider tradition. Even the engine soundtrack has been honed to ensure that the car's occupants are completely captivated by the drop-top driving experience.
Entirely in aluminium, the hard-top solution adopted for the Ferrari 458 Spider offers a number of advantages over the traditional folding soft-top, including a reduction of 25 kg in weight and a deployment time of just 14 seconds. Fully integrated into the styling of the car, the hard-top was engineered to fit neatly ahead of the engine bay without compromising aerodynamics or the performance of the car. The small space needed to house the roof enables the designers to include a generous rear bench for luggage behind the seats.
The rear of the car is characterised by innovative forms with the buttresses designed to optimise the flow of air to the engine intakes and the clutch and gearbox oil radiators. For maximum comfort whilst driving top down the Ferrari 458 Spider features a generously-sized adjustable electric wind stop. The design was perfected to slow and diffuse the air in the cockpit, enabling normal conversation to be held even at speeds over 200 km/h.
New technical solutions adopted for the chassis guarantee identical levels of structural rigidity with the roof up or down. The result is a car that is truly exciting to drive, blending extreme performance with the responsiveness that has always characterised Ferrari's open-top berlinettas.

Porsche 911 Carrera
Porsche is proud to present the new Porsche 911 Carrera, a completely new generation of the iconic coupe that has been acclaimed as one of the world's benchmark sports cars since its launch in 1963.
Tradition meets modernity
True to the 911 tradition, the distinctive Porsche design language exudes power and elegance. The unmistakable silhouette still catches the eye while incorporating new, exciting contours and precisely designed details; a 100mm longer wheelbase for improved stability and greater interior space; front and rear overhangs are shorter, maintaining the compact footprint that has been a longstanding 911 attribute; the sporting stance is emphasised by the lower roof line and a wider front track increases on-road presence further still while raising the renowned chassis dynamics.
The rear-mounted, flat six cylinder engine is an equally symbolic component of the 911 identity; and behind the rear axle of the new car lies an uprated range of powerful, efficient and evocative 'boxer' engines. The Porsche 911 Carrera is powered by a new 3.4-litre engine developing 350 hp, and the Carrera S features a 400 hp version of the familiar 3.8-litre. These new engines offer performance improvements for both models. The 3.4-litre Carrera with PDK accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.6 sec, 0.1 sec quicker than the prior model. Pressing the Sport Plus button on the optional Sport Chrono Pack cuts that to 4.4 sec. The 3.8-litre Carrera S with PDK can accelerate from 0- 62 mph in 4.3 sec (Sport Plus 4.1 sec), 0.2sec quicker than its predecessor.
